Τhis course introduces students to the Byzantine Historiography of the Paleologan Era. On successful completion of the course, students should understand the main characteristics of the Historiography of the Paleologan Era through selected Byzantine texts (e.g. Sylvestros Syropoulos, Laonikos Chalkokondyles, Doukas, Sphrantzes, Kritovoulos, Gennadios-Scholarios etc.).
